YES YOU CAN!

SPOILER ALERT!

Have you been “shaving points” in your life?

Picture it. Everyone is climbing the ladder of success in the American dream. Yet, some of us oftentimes take the benefit of the doubt in being loyal to those we love and care about, tending to distract us for what we have been originally been called to do. Those of us who begin competing with each other often branch off from our original purpose in life. In this first scene, we learn that in order to divide, one must unite!

Who has betrayed you in your Longest Yard?

Later, in the beginning, picture you had everything. You were in a huge, nice mansion with all of whom you know in your party. Then suddenly, your older sibling wants to take control of everything while you all were just having a great time. You are upstairs doing what you love best. The sibling gets jealous while you are drunk with joy and love of what all you have ever known. All of a sudden, you are cast down in a wreck, then you have a moment when the rest of the unknown world around you see the “worthless piece of trash you are!”

Where have you been exiled to?

Welcome to your new home! I will be your new prison guard. We need to have a little chat…”

In your new cruel and brutal environment, you have been accused of not giving it your best, and then things have drastically spiraled out of control. Until you realize this, this Captain also wants control of how to run the place.

Now? We recognize a pattern here: There will always be someone who will try to run everything in how they want, what they do, etc. This is very selfish and quite harmful not only to ourselves but to those around us. Then, chaos breaks loose. The Warden calls the Captain in and confronts him because he loves what you do, and he wants to take advantage of you once again and him. This tends to lead in a cyclic pattern of how history repeats itself over, and, over, and over. And quite obviously? IT NEEDS TO STOP! WE ALL BLEED THE SAME.

YOU BECOME THE NEW LEADER.

So the Warden shows you the ropes around the place and puts you ahead of all the favor in this prison. Then, you start to train a new team to compete against the Warden to boost his victories, and for him to gain ultimate success and fame.

Who was your “caretaker”?

So, in training your new team, you meet a new best friend who is willing to do and help you with all you ever need. Then suddenly, you tragically lose him/her, and you thought all hope was completely gone. You become so depressed, and then?

THE FINAL BATTLE

So, you begin the competition, expecting to have a fair set of rules and regulations in this “contract” that you have been committed to. Yet, everyone that administers the rules are so superbly biased that you gain absolutely no ground, so you take matters into your own hands trying to fix it. It works, however…

HALFTIME!

“I expect you to LOSE!” the Warden threatens. And if you don’t? You will once again be accused of something that wasn’t what you DID do, but now it is because of something that you didn’t do. Why?

“Because in this prison, I am the jury, I am the judge, and I am the executioner. In the end, I WILL ALWAYS GET WHAT I WANT, NO MATTER THE COST.”

Here we go again…

Now you find out that you are completely defeated, and forced against your own will. You can’t take it anymore. The team begins to hate you because of what you ware originally known for. Then you say: NO. IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE! So you take the lead once again. Yet, the team does not trust you now, because you were the only hope in bringing restoration and justice to what we all craved and loved to be: NOTICED. TO CHANGE THIS WORLD AROUND US. And now? You prove yourself, and the team finally wins the battle. Everyone was cheering and applauding, and the celebration had begun, all around the show.

WHEN MERCY WALKED IN…

“Hey… Where does he think he’s going?? NO! OFFICER, SHOOT THAT MAN! SHOOT HIM! THAT IS AN ORDER. DO IT.”

“NO!! CREWE!” (then, rolling his eyes) “IT’S JUST THE GAME BALL.”

“Hey man, I’m really sorry for all that has happened. You showed me something we all need in life, and that is goodwill. I respect that, and I will want to join you in the defense of caretaker’s murder. I will be willing to stand in the gap for what all he has done for y’all. Y’all tried hard, even when the going got tough. Thank you. You are an honest man/woman of integrity, and I want to be something that you have stood for here in these final days. We love each other and we are a team now. Together, we can make a difference. Let’s SHOCK THIS WORLD WITH WONDER, and get this done. Our redemption draweth nigh… Let’s win the championship and make our Head Coach proud for what He has done for us all.”
